💳

Your Billing page always shows the current, up-to-date plan options, pricing, and entry/competition limits for your account — this is the source of truth rather than a fixed list here, since plans and limits can be adjusted over time.
✅ Included on every plan

Competitions
Build a competition
The Competition Builder walks you through every step. Go to Competition Builder to get started.
1
Choose your prize
At the top of the builder, choose 🎁 Prize Library (pick a prize you've already saved) or 📦 I'll fulfil this myself (enter a value and handle delivery yourself — for either a digital or physical prize).
Prize Library guide →
2
Add competition details
Give your competition a clear title and description. Upload a banner image — this appears as the hero image on the competition card and listing page.
3
Set dates and entry limit
Set a start date, end date, and optional maximum entry count. Competitions close automatically at midnight on the end date. The winner is selected automatically when the competition closes.
4
Set the entry location
Choose who can enter: Worldwide, a specific country, or a custom restriction. The winner's submitted delivery address (for physical prizes) is validated against your chosen restriction.
Location guide →
5
Add bonus entry tasks and a video (optional)
Give entrants extra ways to boost their entry weight — e.g. following a social account or visiting a link. You can also paste a YouTube or Vimeo link to show a product demo or prize showcase directly on the competition page.
6
Reveal a code on entry (optional)
Toggle this on to show entrants a discount code the moment they enter. Unlike Shopify-connected vendors, HeyComps doesn't generate unique per-entrant codes for Creators — you provide one shared code, a short description (e.g. "20% off at yoursite.com · valid for 30 days"), and an optional website URL with custom button text so entrants can go straight to where they use it.
7
Set entry requirements & T&Cs
Entry requires an email address. You can also require name and a marketing opt-in checkbox. Add your competition terms and conditions — these appear in the T&Cs dropdown on the embed and listing page, alongside HeyComps' own T&Cs.
8
Set embed branding
Choose Light or Dark theme, pick an accent colour, and select a font. A live embed preview shows exactly how it will look wherever you share or embed it.
Branding guide →
9
Publish
Click Publish competition. Your competition goes live immediately — there's no review or waiting period. You get a HeyComps-hosted page you can share directly, plus an embed code from your My Competitions page if you'd rather add it to your own website or blog.
Competitions
Prize Library
Save a prize once, reuse it across as many competitions as you like — no need to re-enter the same details every time you run a giveaway.
1
Add a prize
Go to Prize Library → + Add Prize. Give it a name and choose a type: Digital gift card, Voucher code, Experience, Physical prize, Cash prize, Subscription, Membership, or Custom.
2
Add value, image, and description
Optionally set a value and currency, an image URL, and a description — these are shown internally in your Library and used in your competition's preview.
3
Add claim details (for digital prizes especially)
Claim URL — optional, where the winner goes to redeem the prize. Voucher code — optional, stored securely and hidden by default; reveal it yourself from the Library whenever you need it. Claim instructions — shown to the winner, explaining how to redeem. Winner instructions — included in the winner's notification. Internal notes — private, only visible to you (e.g. a purchase reference).
4
Save as a draft or ready to use
Save as a draft if you're not ready to use it yet, or save it fully to make it available for selection in the Competition Builder straight away.
5
Select it in the Competition Builder
In the builder's prize step, choose 🎁 Prize Library and pick your saved prize from the grid. Its value, image, and claim details carry through automatically — you don't re-enter anything.
Prize statuses
🟢 Available — ready to use in a competition 🟡 Allocated — tied to a live competition 🔵 Completed — fulfilled and closed out Draft — saved, not yet ready to use

Competitions
Prize Library vs fulfilling it yourself
HeyComps supports two ways to set a prize. You choose at the top of the Competition Builder.
🎁
Prize Library
• Choose a prize you've already saved
• Value, image, and claim details carry through automatically
• Reusable across future competitions too
• Best if you regularly give away the same type of prize
📦
I'll fulfil this myself
• Enter a prize value directly in the builder
• Mark it as Digital or Physical
• You handle delivery to the winner yourself
• Best for a one-off prize you don't need to reuse
💡 Digital vs Physical
When fulfilling manually, mark the prize as Digital (e.g. a code, download, or online experience — no address needed) or Physical (a real item — the winner is asked for a delivery address as part of claiming). This only affects whether an address is collected; the winner review, approve/reject, and re-roll flow work identically either way.
Competitions
Location & eligibility
Control who can enter your competition by setting an entry location. For physical prizes, the winner's submitted delivery address is automatically validated against your chosen restriction.
Available location options
🌍 Worldwide (no restriction) 🇬🇧 United Kingdom only 🇺🇸 United States only 🇪🇸 Spain only 🇫🇷 France only 🇩🇪 Germany only 🇦🇺 Australia only 🇳🇿 New Zealand only 🇨🇦 Canada only 🇮🇪 Republic of Ireland only 🇮🇹 Italy only 🇸🇬 Singapore only 🇪🇺 European Union ✏️ Custom restriction (free text)
✅ Location match
For a physical prize, when the winner submits their address, it's validated against your restriction. If it matches, you see a ✅ indicator in the winner review panel.
⚠️ Location mismatch
If the winner's country doesn't match, you'll see a ⚠️ warning. You can still approve if you wish, or reject with the reason "Address outside eligible region" to trigger an automatic re-roll.
✏️ Custom restriction
Choose "Custom" and enter your own restriction text (e.g. "London residents only" or "Europe excl. UK"). This is displayed to entrants but not automatically validated — you review manually.
Competitions
Branding, sharing & embedding
Every competition gets its own HeyComps-hosted page you can share directly, plus an embed code if you'd rather add it to your own website or blog.
1
Set your embed branding in the builder
In the Embed branding section at the bottom of the Competition Builder:

Theme: Light or Dark.

Accent colour: Use the colour picker or enter a hex code. This drives the Enter button, highlights, and progress bar.

Font: DM Sans (default), Inter, Poppins, or Nunito.
2
Share your competition's direct link
Every competition gets its own HeyComps-hosted page — simplest way to share on social media, in a newsletter, or link in bio. Find it on your My Competitions page.
3
Or copy the embed code
On your My Competitions page, click the 📎 Embed button on any competition card to copy the embed code, then paste it into your own website or blog as HTML. The embed is responsive and auto-resizes its height to fit the content.
💡 URL parameter overrides
You can override branding directly in the embed URL: ?theme=light&accent=3B82F6&font=inter. Available fonts: dmsans, inter, poppins, nunito.
Competitions
Winner selection & flow
When a competition closes, HeyComps selects a winner automatically by cryptographically random draw. Here's what happens next.
1
Competition closes — winner selected automatically
At midnight on the end date, HeyComps runs a fully automated random draw from all eligible entries. A secure winner token is generated and you receive a notification email.
2
Notify the winner yourself
HeyComps never contacts entrants directly by email — this step is entirely manual. Click 📋 Manually Send Winner Notification on the competition card — it shows the winner's name and email address first, followed by a pre-written email template (including their unique claim link) you can copy and send from your own email account.
3
Winner claims their prize
The winner clicks their claim link. For a physical prize, they're shown a form to submit their name, delivery address, and country. For a digital prize, no address is needed. Their claim link has no automatic time limit — it stays valid until they respond, or until you choose to reject them and select a different winner.
4
Review & approve
Once the winner responds, the card shows 📋 View & Approve Winner. Click it to see their full details, including a country match indicator for physical prizes (advisory only — HeyComps never blocks a submission automatically). Then Approve (triggering fulfilment) or Reject (with a reason, triggering automatic re-roll).
Approving guide →
⚠️ Re-roll counter
If you reject a winner, HeyComps automatically selects a new random winner from the remaining entrants and shows a Winner re-roll #N badge on the card. Previously rejected entrants are excluded from every future draw in that competition. All rejection reasons are recorded for fair competition auditing, and a ready-to-copy email explaining the decision to the previous winner appears automatically. If there's nobody left to select, the rejection isn't recorded and the current winner's details remain unchanged, so you can still approve and fulfil them if you'd prefer.
Competitions
Approving & fulfilling
After the winner responds, you review and approve (or reject) from your My Competitions page.
1
Click "View & Approve Winner"
This appears on the competition card once the winner has responded. For physical prizes, you'll see their full name, delivery address, and a country match indicator (✅ match / ⚠️ mismatch) — a helpful signal, not an automatic block.
2
Approve the winner
Prize Library prizes: If your saved prize has a stored claim URL or voucher code, reveal it from the Library and pass it on to the winner as part of fulfilling.

Manual prizes (digital or physical): Click ✅ Approve & Fulfil. You contact the winner using the details shown and deliver the prize yourself. The winner's delivery address (for physical prizes) stays accessible afterwards — a 📍 View delivery address button remains on the card once fulfilled, so you can always look it up again later.
3
Or reject the winner
Click ❌ Reject Winner. Select a reason from the dropdown (Address outside eligible region, Invalid or incomplete address, Unable to verify eligibility, Winner did not respond in time, or Other). Click Confirm Rejection.

HeyComps records the reason against the entry, invalidates the winner's token, and automatically selects a new random winner from the remaining entrants — you'll receive an email with the new winner's name and a link to notify them. A ready-to-copy email for the rejected winner also appears on the card. If there's nobody left to select as a replacement, nothing is rejected — the current winner's details are left untouched so you can still approve them instead.
Deals
Build a deal
Deals let visitors reveal a code by submitting their email. Go to Deal Builder to get started.
1
Add deal details
Enter a deal title, description, and upload a banner image. The banner appears as the deal hero image on the embed and listing page.
2
Add your coupon code
Enter one shared code — the same code is shown to every visitor who reveals it. Add the discount percentage or type, and a description entrants see alongside the code.
3
Add the redemption link
Enter the Website field — where entrants go to actually use the code once they've revealed it. This can be your own store, an affiliate link, or a booking page. It's required, since without it entrants have nowhere to go to redeem the deal.
4
Set start and end dates
Deals are live between the start and end dates. After the end date, the embed shows an "Expired" state — no new codes can be revealed.
5
Add your T&Cs
Add deal-specific terms and conditions. These appear in the 📋 Deal terms & conditions dropdown on the embed — alongside a link to HeyComps' own T&Cs and Privacy Policy.
6
Set embed branding
Choose theme, accent colour (drives the Reveal button), and font. Same branding options as competitions — see the Deal branding guide.
7
Publish
Click Publish Deal. Your deal goes live immediately, with its own HeyComps-hosted page you can share directly, plus an embed code from My Deals if you'd rather add it to your own website or blog.
Deals
Deal branding & embedding
The deal embed supports the same branding system as competitions — theme, accent colour, and font.
1
Set branding in the Deal Builder
The Embed branding section at the bottom of the Deal Builder has the same controls as the Competition Builder. Settings are saved when you publish and applied to the embed automatically.
2
Share your deal's direct link, or copy the embed code
On your My Deals page, share the deal's direct HeyComps-hosted page, or click 📎 Embed to copy the embed code and paste it into your own website or blog.
3
Adjust the iframe size (if embedding manually)
The deal embed fills the width of its iframe. Set width="100%" on the iframe for a fully responsive width. The embed auto-resizes its height via postMessage.
Creator Portal
Analytics & views
Track how your competitions and deals are performing directly from your Creator portal.
👁️ Views
A view is counted each time the competition or deal embed (or standalone listing page) is loaded by a unique browser session. Shown on the competition and deal cards in your Creator portal.

Help
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the most common questions from HeyComps Creators.
What's the difference between a Prize Library prize and fulfilling one myself?
A Prize Library prize is saved once and reusable across future competitions — its value, image, and claim details (claim URL, voucher code, instructions) carry through automatically each time you select it. "I'll fulfil this myself" is a one-off entry made directly in the builder for a single competition, marked as either Digital or Physical, with no reuse. Both work identically for winner selection, review, and re-roll — the only difference is what happens when you approve the winner.
Do I need to enter a delivery address for a digital prize?
No. Only prizes marked as Physical ask the winner for a delivery address when they claim. Digital prizes (gift cards, vouchers, subscriptions, memberships) skip the address step entirely — you fulfil these using the claim URL, voucher code, or claim instructions you've set on the prize.
How does the deal redemption link work?
When you build a deal, the Website field is where entrants are sent to actually use the code once they've revealed it — your own store, an affiliate link, or a booking page. It's shown as a button (with your chosen button text, or "Visit Website" by default) once the code is revealed.
Is my deal code unique per person, or shared?
Shared. Every visitor who reveals your deal sees the same single code you entered in the Deal Builder — HeyComps doesn't generate individual per-entrant codes for Creators. Track every reveal (with email address and timestamp) on the Deal Reveals page.
What happens if the winner doesn't respond?
The winner's claim link has no automatic time limit — it stays valid until they respond, so there's no need to worry about it expiring while you wait. If a winner has gone quiet and you'd rather not wait, click View & Approve Winner on the competition card, then ❌ Reject Winner and select "Winner did not respond in time". HeyComps automatically selects a new random winner from the remaining entrants and notifies you by email, along with a ready-to-copy email you can send the original winner explaining the decision.
How does the re-roll work when I reject a winner?
When you reject a winner, HeyComps: (1) records your rejection reason against the entry, (2) invalidates the current winner's token, (3) selects a new random winner from all remaining "entered" entrants — excluding all previously rejected entries, (4) generates a new claim token, (5) resets the competition card so you can notify the new winner. The re-roll counter on the card shows how many re-rolls have occurred (e.g. "Winner re-roll #2").
Can I set a worldwide competition?
Yes. In the Competition Builder, set the location to Worldwide. For physical prizes, there's no country validation when the winner submits their address — you're responsible for ensuring you can deliver to any country.
Can I edit a competition after publishing?
You can edit the title, description, banner, T&Cs, embed branding, and location scope after publishing. You cannot change the selected prize or dates once the competition is live and has entries, to protect the fairness of the competition. Branding changes take effect immediately without needing to update the embed code.
Why are my analytics showing 0 views?
Views are only counted when real visitors load the competition or deal embed, or visit the standalone HeyComps listing page. Views from the Builder preview don't count. If you've just published and haven't shared or embedded it anywhere yet, views will be 0 until real traffic visits it.
How do I cancel my plan?
Go to Billing and click Cancel plan. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. If you cancel during your free trial, no payment is taken. After cancellation, your competitions and deals will no longer be accessible to visitors but your data is retained for 90 days.
Do visitors need a HeyComps account to enter a competition or reveal a deal?
No. Visitors enter competitions and reveal deals entirely through the share link or embed — they do not need to create a HeyComps account. Entry requires only an email address (and optionally a name and marketing opt-in). Deal reveals require an email address.
